Maritime Tourism, a unique experience

In recent times the word “experience” has been used by countless tourist establishments to advertise their products or services, from gastronomic tourism, wine tourism, cultural tourism, accommodation and a long etcetera.

But at the same time, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find “unique experiences”, from Málaga Viajera we are going to travel to Estepona to meet a company that for more than 10 years has been committed to another way of making “unique experiences”, we are talking about Turismo Marinero, a family business that has made it possible for us to get to know different aspects of traditional fishing through a sustainable and innovative project.

Proof of the quality of its proposals can be found in the awards obtained in recent years, such as the following:

– Award 2nd best Tourist Experience in Andalusia 2018.

– Recognition as Young Woman of Fishing 2017.

– Tourism Company of the Year Award 2015 (Estepona Town Council).

– Recognition as a Woman Entrepreneur in Fishing Areas 2013.

Various options

They have a wide range of options for all tastes, from the Artisans of the Sea Route, where you will learn first-hand about the fishing activity and tradition on the Costa del Sol, to excursions with schools, family experiences, events, consultancies, sport fishing and an endless number of interesting proposals.

On this occasion we are going to focus on the Zamburiña Deluxe Route so that you can get to know one of the most interesting experiences they offer.

In fact, it is one of the most requested experiences at Málaga Viajera.

This route, which is not done anywhere else in Andalusia, begins with a brief visit and introduction to the craft of artisanal fishing and organic aquaculture in Estepona.

Afterwards, we will embark to sail to the area where the sea bream cultivation farm is located. The producer will show us how these species are cultivated and will teach us how to differentiate them and their characteristics.

At the Sea Farm you will be able to discover how, in addition to scallops, they also grow organic oysters and scallops and where you will have the opportunity to taste these delicious delicacies.

A diver will also show us the evolution of the wine that they have submerged in the sea for 9 months, an artisanal and ecological wine from the Nilva winery, with D.O. Sierras de Málaga, awarded with the gold medal in the Monovino awards and which in 2019 won the International Award for Sustainable Tourism with its project Save the Vineyards of Manilva.

The kindness and good work of its owner Shonia, as well as the various professionals involved in this magnificent project, will make you enjoy a unique experience with a CAPITAL LETTER. Guaranteed!

Book through Málaga Viajera and you will get a 5% discount.
